Sorry I will not be writing much tonight. I have to write a five page paper for the class in which this blog is for. It should be quite the treat since I was told on my last essay that my paper was a complete FAILURE and that I am a bad writer....I should be receiving help from the University Writing Center. It is such an honor to be in such a prestigious class. It is too bad that my ideas and thoughts about the concepts in class are of no use. However, I do not plan to go anywhere near a phiolosophy major, and that is what this class appears to be like. I have said my peace. My I enrich the minds of my future elementary students, and pray that they do not end up writing like myself....that or I will encourage that they stick to classes that do not examine your everyday life as some sort of spectacle. Snow and Rain :(

Today has been a gloomy day.... It has been snowing all day and it is now raining. However, another gloomy aspect of this day has to do with my brother. He had his surgery on his torn ACL today. This was a huge surgery for him, and luckily everything went well. My mom said that he got a little sick afer his surgery, but I believe he is doing well now. I wish I could see him! :( Please send your prayers and love to him for a successful and quick recovery! He is a very strong person so I believe that he will make it through this difficult time. It's only MONDAY??

I am going to bed as soon as I write this post. Today was productive I believe. I had an exam, work, and finished writing my paper for my transfer to the College of Education and Human Development here at the U of M. This week is going to be super busy so please forgive me ahead of time for my short writings and lack of excitement. I hope everyone is having a good week so far! .....Spring Break?? Come soon!

Today I came back to the cities after spending a weekend at home. I actually already miss my family. I really like spending time with them.....and I really just want a nice break from school. SPRING BREAK!!!!! My mom brought me back to school today. We ran to the mall to return some clothes of mine and went to Target. It was nice to spend some time with her. I miss her already though... :( However, on the bright side....I got to talk to my friend Ali tonight! I miss her sooooo much, and I wish she was still going to school here. She really likes LaCrosse though, and I was glad to hear that! I think that i will get to see her when my family is in Madison for Spring Break!!! I am so excited. Hopefully that will all work out. Saturday~ Celebrating with the Benoy's and Couch's

Saturday, my family celebrated all of the birthdays in Feburary. My family, Matt, my uncle, aunt, two cousins, and my Grams and Gramps Couch went to dinner at the Orchard. It was really nice to celebrate all of the birthday's and go out to eat. We celebrated my uncle Mike, my aunt Jenny, my Gram, and Matt's birthdays. After dinner, we all went back to my family's house and had cake. All of those with birthdays opened their presents as well. This was actually very entertaining! My uncle Mike always makes simple things like that super funny! Overall it was a very fun night, and Matt told me that he enjoyed it too. :) He said that my family is fun, and he really enjoys coming to things with us. That was really nice to hear because I also enjoy when his family invites me to come to things with them. :)

Friday~ Koehler Family

Friday I went out to eat with my boyfriend and his family!!! It was his birthday Thursday! :) We ended up to TGI Friday's and it was very very good!! I really like spending time with Matt and his family. They are really fun to be around and they are close family.....just like mine.:) Overall it was a great night

Not your Ordinary WEDNESDAY.....

I didn't realize that I didn't post yesterday!!! I'm so sorry....I think I got caught up in my other homework. However, the highlight of my day yesterday happened at work. I am still training at my job that I have at the Office of Admissions. I have started calling students that are still making their college decisions for the fall that have be accepted at the University of Minnesota. We call them to ask them if they have any questions about our university and remind them of important deadlines. Yesterday I had a conversation with a boy from Wisconsin. Since I am also from Wisconsin, I could really relate to this boy. He asked me two huge, deciding questions. He asked me what would make him want to choose the University of Minnesota over UW-Madison, and about the safety on campus. I was very honest with him, and told him that I also went through the descision of choosing between UW-Madison and the U of M. I have a lot of school pride for my university, but I was as honest with him and told him all of things that made me decide to go here. I shared some of my experiences that I have had here while at school. After our conversation, he thanked me for giving him a better outlook on the U of M. He said that he honestly didn't think that he was going to consider the U of M anymore. However, he said that after I answered his questions with my personal experiences here, he became more interested. He said that he had never heard many things about my university and appreciated my phone call. He said that he plans on visiting the U of M campus now. He did not realize how many opportunities were available here. This call really made me feel good. I realize how hard it can be to decide where to attend college. I also realized how much pride I have for my university. :) There are many opportunities to succeed here, and this year I have made more of an effort to get involved on campus. I now have two campus jobs, and they are both allowing me to have opportunities here that I wouldn't have thought about. I am also meeting some really great people through my jobs also. The message of this story: I am proud to be a student at the University of Minnesota, and to be a Golden Gopher :) Morgan Andrea

It's only TUESDAY??!!

Hello Bloggsters! Today was another normal day at the U of M. However, because of the snow last night, the sidewalks and streets were very gross today!!! EWWW.... I am not a huge fan of snow or winter in general. I have started my application process for changing schools within the U of M. I am currently in CLA, or the Collge of Liberal Arts, and will be applying for CEHD, the College of Education and Human Development. I have filled out a great majority of the information needed for the applications tonight which was good. I don't think that this process is going to be as big of stress as I had intended it to be. I do have to write an essay, but I am confident with my writing skills, and it should really not be a big problem. This is a good thing to get out of the way, and not be too worried about. However as spring break is approaching,it is becoming quite clear that I have some more homework. This is pretty usual around this time, but I am hoping that it won't be too much of a burden. Also, I am feeling much better today. I have been taking benedryll for the last two days, and it has been helping my rash stay down. I think this was just a virus, and it should go away. However, nothing makes you feel more self-concious than a spotty rash all over yourself.... -_- ...... There is not much going on right now other than what I just talked about. It's Snowing........ :(

Today was an interesting and long day. Unfortunately I do not feel well today . :( I had to go to the doctor's today to get checked. I have a rash all over my body and a sore throat and aching body. This is not fun. However, he said that it is most likely a virus, but if it continues to get worse I will have to go in again. Good News: I GOT THE JOB I WANTED!!!! This job is for the Parent Program Assistant for Parent's Weekend! I was very excited about this opportunity and job. It also pays more than any other job I have ever had before....definitely a plus! This week looks like it is about to get busy again. I am going to be in the process of applying for my major and school transfer. I am looking to be in the College of Education and Human Development here at the U. Hopefully I will get accepted and all my major stresses for this year will be gone!!! Between finding classes, jobs, and applying for this college....it is allll soooooooooo much! It will all be over before I know it. However I am still not feeling too hot so BED. Goodnight!! Sunday... LAZY DAY

After a long saturday, I woke up to the beautiful campus of St. Thomas. Matt took me to breakfast at the new student center which is GORGEOUS! I definitely took advantage of all the food that was available. At least I didn't have to cook this morning! Matt brought me home shortly after that, and it was good to be home. I got to finish all my laundry and homework. I like that feeling of accomplishment. Other than that, my day has consisted of me sitting on the couch watching Harry Potter yet again! (ABC Family!!!) Saturday

Saturday was quite eventful...unlike FRIDAY!! My boyfriend and I were supposed to leave in the morning to visit his family, and then go to my cousin's wedding dinner at my uncle Mike's house with my entire family. Matt had some moring difficulties however. He had gone to the Jason Aldean concert the night before with some friends...and let's just say the night ended up getting the best of him!! We were supposed to leave by noon. He did not wake up unil ONE! However, I was unaware of this because he had lost his phone, wallet, and room keys the night before..... :( ahhh!! Matt did end up finding all of his things, and we did make it to dinner on time. The dinner was very nice! :) We had spaghetti, salad, lasagna, and bread for dinner. YUMM!! It was nice to be with family to celebrate my cousin Kaylyn and her new husband Kale's recent wedding. Not only that, but it was nice for my whole family to meet Matt and get to know him better. He is a keeper that's for sure :) After dinner and some DELICIOUS cake... !!!.... we headed back to Minneapolis. We ended up going over to his friend's house for awhile which was fun! I like meeting new people, and I always feel like his friends from St. Thomas really enjoy meeting me. It definitely makes me excited to see them again. After a long long lonnnnggg day....Matt and I went to bed at his place. A good night's sleep was necessary!!!

Friday

My Friday was pretty uneventful. I watched the second part of the Harry Potter movie! I love Harry Potter movies and the books. I think they are so entertaining. Otherwise, I just worked on homework, and tried to go to bed early. I guess it was good to just be able to watch a movie and go to bed.

Tonight was wonderful :) my boyfriend Matt took me to the hospital to visit my Grams. It was so good to see . her! I love her anf my Gramps very much. We were there for awhile and before we left I told my grams goodbye. I gave her a hug and kiss...and she whispered into my ear that we still need to go wedding dress shopping..someday. I started to cry. As you know, I wrote about this last night. I have always told her that she will be the one person I am sure to bring with me on that special day. This absolutely melted my heart. It was then so incredible that she said that to me then. God has a special way of reaching out to people. I believe it is true. :) After our visit, Matt and I went to Olive Garden to celebrate Valentine's Day ! I had such a good time with him. He is such a sweetheart in every single way. He liked the present I got for him too! I was so excited to give it to him! He also got me a very very nice present:) Matt got me a Pandora charm for my bracelet!!!! It has hearts on it which are the color of his birthstone so that I will always remember that he got it for me :) I am one lucky girl to have a guy like him! Oh! And he also got me chocolates which I love! Overall tonight was an amazing night to be with some people I truly care about :) Goodnight & count your blessings! :) Morgan Andrea

~ A very SPECIAL day ~

Today turned out to be a great day! It was really warm outside which was nice for a change. I actually really enjoyed walking to class today. Today was also the second day of my Spanish test, so that felt good to finally be done with tests for the week. After my test today, I had an interview for the job that I am most excited about. I think that it went very well! I will not get my hopes up yet, but I am hopeful that I will be able to become a part of the Parent's Weekend planning committee here at the U. I also worked today...so today ended up being a very long day ! However after work, I found out some very surprising news. Unfortunately my Gram is in the hospital. She is going to be okay though. She is a strong woman, and for my own selfish reasons, I want her to be here for as long as she can. I always tell her that she needs to be there with me to pick out my wedding dress. I love her so much !!!! Anyway, for the surprising and special part of my day. My boyfriend Matt surprised my Gram tonight by visiting her at the hospital! This was so sweet of him. I know that she really appreciated it, and it really meant a lot to me that he took some of the time out of his night to visit her. Tonight I really realized how good of a person Matt is. He truly cares about me and my family, and that is so special. Tonight pray for your family, friends, and loved ones! Hold on to them tight and don't ever let go. :) Morgan Andrea

Happy Valentine's Day !!!!!!

BUSY Week

Last night I did not blog.... :( However, yesterday was pretty fun! I went shopping with my roommate, Ariana, at Rosedale Mall. It was good to spend some time with her. I was also able to buy my boyfriend his Valentine's Day present!!! I am very excited for this ! Unfortunately, we are celebrating this day on Thursday because I have a Spanish test Tuesday and Wednesday.... I really am just looking forward to the end of this week. There is so much going on ! It is kind of stressful....I just need to try and stay positive. I need to get out of my funk I am in today and just push forward. Everything will be okay :) A lot of the time I think that I psych myself out when I start to think of the week to come. I need to take a deep breath and realize that I will get everything done. Lastly, this coming weekend I am going home to have dinner with my family for my cousin's wedding dinner. She just recently got married ! Sleep! Today was a sad day... My brother tore his ACL. This is a bad injury for an athlete and he won't be able to finish his season as a senior. I believe that Ryan is a strong person however. He will work hard to come back, and I think that this will make him a greater athlete. Although the circumstances don't seem great now....lots of people will be praying for him. I wish I could've been at home with him today. :( it breaks my heart to hear him so sad and to know how passionate he is about basketball...so tonight my prayers are going out to my baby brother. Basketball in Wisconsin

Sooo last night I know I didn't blog...but I was super tired and needed some sleep! Anyway today ended up being a good day:) My boyfriend Matt and I went to watch my brother play basketball in Amery, Wisconsin where Matt is from. We both got to see our families! It was really nice to do that. Ryan unfortunately hurt his knee as soon as we got there....so that was a bummer! I hope his knee is alright! After the game, Matt and I went to his house to pick up some of his clothes he left there and we got to play with the two puppies that are left at his house. I want one sooooo badly! Sleep??

I have no idea why I'm up! I'm anxious and feel like I have a lot to do...hopefully tomorrow I will be more relaxed! And I can conquer the day. Night. Bed. SLEEP!!! Morgan Andrea Ps- my boyfriend just called and told me his whole dorm room got flooded and no one can sleep in there....good thing his best friend lives approx. 10 mins away! I guess I should be thankful this is not my night. Ughhhh bed!

~ A Good Day to be a College Student ~

Today ended up being a GREAT day! It was beautiful outside which was a nice surprise. It made it really easy to walk to class, and it was nice to actually enjoy being outside. I could not possibly ask for a better day in February ! However.... my BIG  news came later today ! I got a job on campus! I am sooooo excited for this, and I already start next week! Although I am very excited for this, I also got an interview for the job that I am most excited about ! I know I should probably be excited for the job that I actually got...but I am still going to my interview next week to be an assistant for the Parent's Program. This job requires you to help plan Parent's Weekend at the University!!! I think it would be a great opportunity! Who knows? Maybe I could end up with two jobs! I really do enjoy working...which may seem strange...but I just like to be around people and be productive.

I also watched Pretty Little Liars tonight ! I read all of those books, and I love watching the show ! Other than my job news...nothing too exciting is going on at the U of M. However, I am going to get some rest for tomorrow! I am looking forward to another productive day....time to write my first paper of the second semester!....and to go to my 8 AM class..... -_-........ hmmm... I hope all goes well :)

Super Bowl Sunday?? Girls FUN DAY!!

Hello bloggsters!

Today was a great day! The Super Bowl was on, but that is definitely not the highlight of my day. My friend and roommate for next year, Sam, came over to visit and have dinner with me! We did some girl talk, but also finished some homework and watched the Super Bowl.....we also watched The Voice that premiered after because we were excited to see what it was about! It actually is a pretty good show :) There are so many talented singers out there!!! I wish I had a voice like some of these people on the show! I really like Samantha, and I am glad that I met her. She is so bubbly and positive! That is just how I like to live my life. :) She is also a pretty funny person! I love hearing her stories! I am glad that I am living with her and Marta next year. They are such nice girls. :) They actually remind me of one of my best friends Ali, who transferred to LaCrosse. I miss her sooooooo much!

However, I also finished my visual presentation for a job that I reallllly want! I hope that I will hear back from them soon now! FINGERS CROSSED! I also heard back from another job that I applied for, so hopefully tomorrow I will hear back so I can go back in for an interview!

Lastly, I thought I would share this quote with you all. :) I found this and made it my new year's resolution. Resolutions are not all about exercising and losing weight!

Today was a very productive day :) I did homework, laundry, and had dinner with my boyfriend Matt. It feels good to have days like this....just relaxing and getting some things done! I'm sorry about the last two nights! Thursday I stayed up late to do my Spanish homework only to find out that as soon as I submitted it, it didn't save... :( after that I was so wiped out that I just went to bed. Last night , Friday, was pretty fun also! I Hung out with some people from the U of M and St. Thomas. It was really fun! It's nice to meet other people from different schools! As I arrived home last night....it was to my surprise that our apartment was in the presence of two starters from my school's basketball team. (aka THE MINNESOTA GOPHERS!) For those of you that follow basketball, Joe Coleman and Rodney Williams were hanging at our place. So overall....last night was pretty eventful! Anyway, I am exhausted and my bed sounds like a good place to rest :) Goodnight! Morgan Andrea

Hey!

Today has been a fabulous day! Classes went well, and it was still a pretty nice day out! After classes, I went to help out my friend, Meghan, with her research project. She measured things in my brain which was actually pretty interesting. She had to rub gel in my hair to get the readings, and she then had to put a funny hat on my head with all these attatchments on it. This was the gross part..gel stuff seeping in my hair....gross! However, it wasn't bad and pretty interesting. PLUS I got $20 from the research department just for doing the study!! What an easy way to make some quick cash huh? After that, I went home to start some homework...and...my boyfriend, Matt, and his friend Paul brought me Chipolte for dinner!! It was just the nicest thing!! Definitely better than making dinner tonight :) It was also nice to see him for a bit and talk about things other than school. Lastly, I was able to talk on the phone to one of my best friend Ali!! :) This was probably the best part of my night. She just transferred to UW-Lacrosse, and I miss her sooooooo much! It was definitely great to catch up. She is a FOREVER friend :). I'm glad to have her in my life!!


Today was full of surprises and time spent with some great people! I'm sooo thankful for all those in my life. :)
